If you use MAC clone:

From default (reset) router or install over current build with MAC clone enabled

it will add +1 to the wireless MAC. The wireless MAC displayed on status page is always ath0

so it is with my devices. When +1 is added by default in MAC clone it cause ath0 & ath1 to carry the same MAC.

This may cause many devices to not see both 2.4 & 5 GHz broadcast since they are

broadcasting same MAC. Had to force my driod turbo phone to either 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz to see either

radio broadcast. Phone on auto band would only pick up one broadcast even though all have different SSID.

:~# ifconfig | grep HWaddr

ath0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 10:0D:7F:4D:96:67

ath0.1    Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 12:0D:7F:4D:96:67

ath1      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 10:0D:7F:4D:96:67

ath1.1    Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 12:0D:7F:4D:96:67

br0       Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 10:0D:7F:4D:96:65

br0:0     Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 10:0D:7F:4D:96:65

eth0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 10:0D:7F:4D:96:65

imq0      Link encap:UNSPEC  HWaddr 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00

imq1      Link encap:UNSPEC  HWaddr 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00

vlan1     Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 10:0D:7F:4D:96:65

vlan2     Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx ##cloned##

When using MAC WAN clone insure that wireless MAC is correct (actual wireless MAC)

Should be able to see the correct MAC on status page if MAC clone is disabled.

Caused me some grief & resets & reconfig to figure out

This is how should be and it works damn good and all clients can see all SSIDs -

:~# ifconfig | grep HWaddr

ath0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 10:0D:7F:4D:96:66

ath0.1    Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 12:0D:7F:4D:96:66

ath1      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 10:0D:7F:4D:96:67

ath1.1    Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 12:0D:7F:4D:96:67

br0       Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 10:0D:7F:4D:96:65

br0:0     Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 10:0D:7F:4D:96:65

eth0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 10:0D:7F:4D:96:65

imq0      Link encap:UNSPEC  HWaddr 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00

imq1      Link encap:UNSPEC  HWaddr 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00

vlan1     Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 10:0D:7F:4D:96:65

vlan2     Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx ##cloned##

This does not seem to affect the EA8500.

It does affect the WRT160NL & the E2100L but for them its a good thing because in default reset with

r31611 LAN & Wireless MACs are always the same so +1 for wireless MAC works fine on these single band units.

r31611 seems to be a very good build on my devices :-)
